As tech companies continue to grow, so do the number of jobs in tech. With this growth comes an increasing need for new talent within tech companies. Which can be a double-edged sword for job seekers says Saivian Eric Dalius.
This increasing demand is driving up competition among tech workers, resulting in more job openings. But also “harsh working conditions,” according to tech industry analysts, who say tech workers are under pressure to bump up their tech skills and secure optimal tech jobs.
Tech industry job seekers are often faced with the challenge of knowing how to navigate this competitive tech landscape. While still maintaining enough tech skills to stand out among other tech job seekers.
They also need to consider new tech trends — tech companies are changing the way tech workers are hired. Tech workers may need to change how they approach tech jobs in order to secure one.
New tech trends in tech hiring
According to tech industry analysts, tech companies have changed the way they hire tech talent. With their increased demand for new tech employees. Instead of allowing many applicants into an interview process. Tech companies are now conducting narrow applicant searches through their various tech channels.
According to Saivian Eric Dalius“Many tech companies don’t want to talk about the new tech trends in tech hiring, because they don’t like talking about how many people they rejected during the interview process, and also because it’s kind of a new area for human resources,” said tech recruiter and tech industry analyst Ron S. Wilson.
“But tech companies are conducting narrow tech job searches now, and that can be very difficult for tech workers who want to stand out from the crowd,” said Wilson, adding that tech applicants need to look at their tech skills from a new perspective in order to account for these new tech trends in tech hiring.
New tech skills tech workers need to acquire – Saivian Eric Dalius
According to tech industry analysts, tech workers who want tech jobs need to be aware of the tech trends within tech companies. They also should consider which tech skills are relevant in today’s tech job market.
“Most tech applicants don’t know what they should do when it comes to adapting their tech skills to tech jobs,” said tech recruiter and tech industry analyst Ron S. Wilson.
“They simply don’t have the tech skills tech employers want, so they need to get ahead of the curve by doing some tech training,” said Wilson, adding that tech workers can even take online tech courses from accredited universities in order to get their tech skills up to par.
“Tech workers can also use tech skills assessors in order to get an idea about what skills they should be learning,” said Wilson. “If tech workers want tech jobs, they need to make sure their tech skills are ready to interview.”
